Can we just talk about it?
I wish that you and I could sit over a cup at the corner cafe and just talk for a bit. I’m sure there’s things on your mind that you wish you could tell someone – someone who would care to listen. I feel that way too sometimes. And though it’s true, we can’t meet at the local coffee joint, we can still meet here at the Waterfall blog.
I’ll be grabbing my coffee and sitting down to share what’s on my mind today. If you would like to join me, grab your favorite cup and pull up a seat. Your thoughts and comments are always welcome here. (In fact, if you have things you’d like to get off your chest and need someone to just listen, you have your very own space – just click on the SAFE HARBOR box located on the home page of our site.)
Our Dad

Like a child, we come to Him. With nothing in our hand, we reach up for His grasp. We have nothing we can give, nothing to bring, except our hearts. But, that’s all He ever wanted anyway…❤️
Driving in the Dark

My watch read 6:00 pm as I lifted the door handle and jumped into my car to head home. I had an hour’s drive ahead of me and I knew traffic was already thick. As I approached the freeway overpass, it was stop and go for at least twenty car lengths, just to get to…
Everyone’s Got One

Everyone has something to say. Everyone’s got their opinion. You’ve got yours. I’ve got mine. Today with social media, we are barraged with voices clamoring for our attention. Look at me! Listen to what I have to say! Its overwhelming to say the least. Add to that, our already crammed schedules, and we find there’s…
Not Too Late…

It’s a promise. You’ve not gone too far, messed up too much, blown it beyond repair. It all starts with humbling ourselves to recognize we don’t have it all together…
Pray it – don’t say it.

I don’t know about you – but I’ve been on both sides of this. There’s been times when someone I know is going through something tough and before I know it, I’m promising to say a prayer for them. On the flip side, I have had my share of tough situations and have asked others…
They Just Don’t Get It… (Or is it just me?)

I wish there was a way I could bypass all the struggling to find just the right words and instead just transfer my thoughts directly into some one else’s brain. Just think of all the misunderstandings it would alleviate. Instantly gone would be all those stupid fights over pretty much nothing. Friendships would be saved.…

Black Plus White Equals Gray

Have you ever had a hard time deciding if something was good or bad? Right or Wrong? Black or White? We all have this moral compass inside that governs us and helps us process and sort the “good” from the “bad.” We know it’s “good” to eat our vegetables and it’s “bad” to eat…
Sand On Your Toes Not In Your Eyes

My little grandson is 17 months at the time of this post. He’s a little bundle of busy curiosity and I can hardly keep up. Today, I scooped him up and headed to the backyard where his Papa has built a sandbox. Under the tan umbrella, is an array of bright colored plastic sand toys…
